My story

I was born the youngest of seven children. My parents moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma when I was 9 and I graduated from Bartlesville College High School in 1973. Then it was on to the University of Oklahoma for 7 years, ending with a law degree in 1980.
I practiced on my own for a short time, then joined the Stipe Law Firm in McAlester in 1981. I have been with that firm since then. We opened an office in Tulsa in 1984 and I have been here ever since.
I married Brenda Michie of McAlester in 1983 and a year later, we moved to Tulsa. We live in mid-town Tulsa, in Swan Lake Neighborhood, an historic, charming place. We recently celebrated the return of our swans, who have been absent from the lake for a few years. Unfortunately, one of the swans did not adapt to the return to the lake and passed away. We are looking for a new mate or a new pair of swans. We have two girls, Ronni and Maddi. Ronni is a 2006 graduate Booker T. Washington High School. She is attending Hendrix College in Arkansas. Maddi is a sophomore at Booker T. this year.
